Richard has been brought up around dogs, from Labradors, Beagles, Terriers to crossbreeds. This presence of dogs sparked a lifelong fascination, guiding him towards this professional journey.
Drawn particularly to Gundog breeds, Richard further developed his skills as a Gundog Trainer through the APGI 18 month advanced training course which has lead him to becoming an Accredited Pet Gundog Instructor. His dedication stems from a desire to understand and impart knowledge on training Gundogs, ensuring that their natural energy and enthusiasm are channelled constructively. Without guidance, these intelligent and eager-to-please dogs can become bored and mischievous. Engaging a Gundogs’ mind and providing structured activities are key to their fulfilment. Not Only Is Richard accredited he also holds nationally recognised level 3 certificates in:
Canine Training and Behaviour,
Canine Nutrition.

With over 16 years in teaching, Richard combines his expertise in fostering positive learning environments with a passion for dogs.
